Gérald Cid (born 17 February 1983 in Talence, Gironde) is a French football defender, who is currently playing for OGC Nice.
Cid joined Bolton from Girondins de Bordeaux in July 2007, having spent 8 years with the French club.[1]
After a number of shaky performances he was christened 'the hapless Gerald Cid' by Bolton Evening News journalist Gordon Sharrock.
On January 13th, it was announced that he had left Bolton Wanderers by mutual consent. He returned to France, joining Ligue 1 side Nice, on a three-and-a-half year deal.[2][3]
