[edit] Translation Question
"Im Geiste der Alten" is translated "In the tenor of the elder" I'm not sure how to translate this, but this doesnt seem to be it. Possibilities: "In the spirit of the ancients," "in the spirit of the elders," "in the spirit of something older," In the spirit of that which is older," "in the spirit of ancient times/olden days/years past" I would change it now but i think something ambiguous (as it is now) is better than something incorrect and I'm certainly not sure. - I am not proficient at German. However, "Im Geiste der Alten" strikes me as probably translating into English as "In the spirit of the old [one]," where the "old one" refers to the original statue. A native English speaker would probably express this as "in he spirit of the original," or something similar. --Xorkster 23:56, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
