- The Funeral Sermon and Player is the Earliest known text in Hungarian. That is, there are attested Hungarian written Hungarian words from earlier, but they are individual words embedded into Latin or Greek text. The FS&P is the first continuous text (and its also not a fragment, but is complete). Whether it's a manuscript or not, you can argue; one could say, it's a Medieval Church Latin manuscript with a longer passage of Hungarian text embedded (referring to your discussion at the Category page), but I think, that's too much of a detail. FS&P is not the first attested written Hungarian words, but it's the first attested text written in Hungarian.Szabi (talk) 14:28, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
