Funny World & Balloon Boy is a relatively rare game for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis[citation needed]. It is designed and produced by Realtec, without any kind of license from Sega. Therefore Realtec hasn't used the standard cardridge for its dual game, but its own in a different size. (The keep case is also thinner than a standard Genesis game case.) Besides the cartridge, there is noticeably lower quality in graphics and sound.
The player can choose between two games, Balloon Boy and Funny World.
This game also employs a form of copy protection, which prevents it from being executed on some emulators.
[edit] Balloon Boy
In this game the player is Balloon Boy, whose job is to pop as many balloons in a level as possible. When popping a balloon an item falls down. This item can either have a positive effect on the player's score, or negatively affect his health. The goal is to get as far as possible through the 50 levels and score as many points as possible.
[edit] Funny World
The second game on the cartridge is called Funny World, and consists of shooting various bears running over the screen. Besides shooting it is also possible to drop a stone-like ball out of the sky, to clear all the creatures on the screen. To clear a stage, the player has to reach a certain number of hits in a level. It is also important not to hit the princess. The goal of the game is getting through the 30 different levels and getting a high score.
