[edit] Narcissism
Hi, I thought I would drop by to explain to you that if you want to make drastic changes to a long established article it is usual to discuss them on the talk page first, otherwise such edits might be considered vandalism. --Zeraeph 23:09, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- hello.I'm not sure how to respond back.I'm not sure your statement is founded if your directing this to me as to making drastic changes.I did ad one line which I feel is a better opening, and removed a picture which is innapropriate for an encyclopedia and has nothing to do with the opening statement.I beleive a better image would be appropriate for this very important subject which I hope to continue to contribute to.An good artical cannot just be a hodgepodge of additions. Some times the text has to be changed. As to the talk page, is this sompthing you created or is it part of the format for making changes? I don't beleive vandalism is the correct word to use for a simple edit or contribution. As far as this subject is concerned, this subject would be more of an intentional destruction just for the satisfaction of destroying. In my case I will let it be known my wish is to contribute to a very important subject. I really hope their can be a little harmony on the contributors for these means. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fullertonart (talk • contribs)

- Copying what I said from the Narcissism talk page here.
-
- Ah, NOW I understand the problem...let me try to explain. This article is for the general CONCEPT of Narcissism, quite independent of psychology, which has existed for centuries, NOT the disorder. Pathological Narcissism is NOT the topic of this article at all.
-
- Narcissism (psychology) relates to all aspects of Narcissism in psychology, including the positive ones (Do you realise that we ALL have some healthy Narcissism? Without it we couldn't even have self esteem.).
-
- However, for disorders of Narcissism you have two choices Narcissistic personality disorder or Malignant narcissism. Both are very different articles. As they are documented medical conditions, I am sure you can appreciate that all citations must be made VERY STRICTLY to medical and academic Reliable sources, but within that constraint, you are VERY welcome to come and help improve them.
-
- PS. Now I had better go check on why this was not all made clear in the text of the article, there used to be disambiguation links to make sure nobody could misunderstand...I am SO sorry if they somehow got lost.--Zeraeph 15:41, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

-
- Also, to explain the talk page...that is an important part of EVERY Wikipedia article. It's a kind of "noticeboard" where editors can discuss changes, try out new text, leave notes to other editors, or even themselves (I often do that, you'd be surprised how easy it is to lose the thread of what you MEANT to do after editing a totally different article for a few days!).
-
-
-
- Anyway, I did a lot of the original work re-creating the Narcissism (psychology) and Narcissistic personality disorder articles to an encyclopaedic standard based on valid medical and academic sources, not common internet misconceptions, and I learned a LOT just chasing the real sources down, with an open mind, I am sure you will too, believe me, there is a LOT more work to be done on them. --Zeraeph 15:57, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

- Please stop removing valid, cited content inappropriately in this way, I have done my best to explain above why you are mistaken to do so, but you now have another problem. Please read WP:3RR you could be blocked from editing if you do not stop deleting the same content. --Zeraeph 18:55, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] East whittier friends church
A tag has been placed on East whittier friends church, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. pw 20:20, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Don't make personal attacks, especially not by editing another users user page. 'Nuff said. Gimmetrow 07:32, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
