[edit] Conformance with WP:DATE

It would be nice if this template conformed with the guidelines for dates in WP:DATE. Specifically, the date should be wikilinked so that a user's set preferences will cause the date to be shown in their preferred format, not always American-style Month dd, year. I agree. All the world except North America used day/month/year. It's only in two countries that the dates go backwards. In an international encyclopædia, we should at the very least have the dates Wiki-linked - or, if impossible, then use the general world format. EuroSong ^talk 20:37, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
