Full Sutton Prison is a maximum security prison at Full Sutton near Pocklington, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
Full Sutton houses up to 608 prisoners, and is purpose-built for men in category A and category B. It opened in 1987. The prison's primary function is to hold, in conditions of high security, some of the most difficult and dangerous criminals in the country.
Current inmates include alleged terrorist Abu Qatada, serial killer Dennis Nilsen, kidnapper/murderer Michael Sams and paedophile/murderer Howard Hughes.
