Fueled By Ramen is a record label started by John Janick and Vinnie Fiorello (drummer and lyricist of Less Than Jake) in August of 1996 in Gainesville, Florida.[1]

Pete Wentz, the bassist of Fall Out Boy, started his own record label, Decaydance Records, as an imprint of the Fueled By Ramen label in 2005. Since its inception, FBR has released over 100 different albums and has grown from two to over fifteen employees.

The label's name is a reference to ramen, "Fueled By Ramen" most likely meaning such a situation that ramen is the best available food; thus, literally fueled by ramen.

Fueled By Ramen moved to Tampa, Florida in the latter half of 2004. At the beginning of 2007, FBR opened an office in New York.[1] FBR is currently looking into offices in Chicago and plans to start a base there.

On December 22, 2006, Vinnie Fiorello announced on his blog that he had left Fueled By Ramen, claiming that, as the label grew, "style was outweighing substance." [2]
