[edit] Summary

From the late 17th to the 19th century the Donyatt potters produced a series of vessels solely for amusement: puzzle jugs and fuddling cups. With both, the uninitiated had to attempt to drink the contents. The cups have hollow interconnections that allow the contents to be drunk without spilling.

Photograph was taken in the Somerset County Museum in Taunton on 29-Oct-05.
