[edit] Music video production costs
There are rumours that the production of the music video costed more than 13 million US-Dollars, making it the most expensive music video of all times. The New Zealand radio station "The Rock" claims that most times they play the song. I could, however, not find ANY evidence that this is true. It is claimed on several web pages on the web but never with citation. The Virgin page has a news entry about the video making music history - but not with the production cost but with the fact that it was the first American music video shot in its entirety in China.[1] A forum post I found said that it was at place 5 of the top ten most expensive music videos on a MTV Europe show [2]

- Precisely. The New Zealand radio station and some websites got their information from the wikipedia entry... and it was entered in originally by an anonymous person. So there's no basis to the claim. It's false. I have stricken it from the entry and it should not be added without a notable reference. [edit] Single Covers + Video Link + Sources + Picture
There are 4 different covers for the single, anyone fancy uploading the others? Also an actual link to the video would be appropriate as well as some references, a capture from the video and some of the video credits could also be included i think. this link to the video i believe would be appropriate as this link is used on countless sites and shows a low quality yet full version of the video. [edit] Chinese Traditions?
Each band member is then led to a different part of the kingdom, encountering various Chinese traditions. Matt Wachter encounters the butler whipping himself; Tomo Milicevic finds a dead woman lying on her bed, and someone proceeds to put a small black ball (A ball of mercury, which is a Chinese custom) into her mouth; Shannon sees a grown man being breast-fed by his mother or wife; and Jared accidentally walks in on a group of men sacrificing three young women.
So, the ancient chinese traditions of self-flagellation, mercury balls, breast feeding and triple human sacrifice. Can someone elaborate on this a little, which particular traditions are we seeing, where can we find more information, does wikipedia have suitable articles?
The women appear to be walking while unconscious and seem stiff, almost corpse like, Jiang Shi might be worth a look, in fact a few aspects of the imagery make me think of vampire legend, not all of it chinese. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.6.85.54 (talk) 01:36, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
