[edit] Comedy?

How in the world is this film a comedy horror film?? It's just plain horror. There's nothing funny in this movie. It's on par with Re-Animator (which, surpringly, is also listed as a comedy horror film). — Frecklefoot | Talk 16:00, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Well, this is uneasy to set it as something serious anyway... Moreover Combs' performance relates more to comedy than drama. Anyway, I admit this is more evident in Reanimator and Bride of..., where you can find crawling hand and other funny stuff.

MGM did not distribute this film. Empire Pictures did. I will make the change.

I agree with Frecklefoot, this movie is in no way comedy. Just because someone's acting appears to be funny, or the premise of the movie is funny in this era, it is not a comedy. This is a horror film, and last time I checked, it was based off fo a H.P. Lovecraft short story, and again, last time I checked, Lovecraft never made any comedies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daedalus969 (talkcontribs) 07:44, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

I've not seen the film, so I won't comment on it, but I have to note that the dialogue in Re-Animator is often intended to be funny in a dark way (black comedy), and that Stuart Gordon (the director) has tooken many liberties with Lovecraft's work, so just because the story might be horror, the movie might not be. I've never been a huge Gordon fan, but I am a large Lovecraft fan, so I feel it necessary to say this, because I've seen a few of Gordon's films. It may be that those who do most, dream most. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:From Beyond.jpg

Image:From Beyond.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
