Front for the Liberation of the Golan

The Front for the Liberation of the Golan is a guerilla organization formed by Syria in July 2006 shortly after what Syria viewed as a Hezbollah victory over Israel during the 2006 Lebanon War. Its aim is to recover the Golan Heights from Israel through military campaign. The force is trained by Hezbollah.[1] It is made up of hundreds of Syrian volunteers[2] and Palestinian refugees living in the Damascus area.[3]
