Talk:Frigidaire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
There seems to be some uncertainty about the acquisition date of Frigidaire by ElectroLux. This article had the date at 1986 and yet the Kelvinator page indicates that it was acquired by White Consolidated Industries which also acquired Frigidaire and eventually took on the Frigidaire name. The Kelvinator article indicates that it was acquired in 1994 by ElectroLux, which is confirmed by information on ElectroLux's website . Unfortunately, the ElectroLux page on Frigidaire does not provide this level of detail.
To make Wikipedia articles line up, I'm going to change the acquisition date here to 1994 to line up with the confirmed one for Kelvinator, as it seems that both would have been part of the same corporate entity at the time.

WE purchased a Frigidaire model FRT15HB3AW5 15 cubic foot, with in the first year it started freezing over in the freezer so no cold air would go to the Refrigerator. 1 of their certified repair specialists came out and said we must have left the door open for to long. I spent the next 3 years defrosting it with a hair dryer after taking it apart every 2 weeks. Well last week it caught on fire, it would seem the compressor was defective this entire time. Now we are getting a Maytag. Just be warned Frigidaire only cares about making money not its customers.
