The image Friends of god promo image.jpg is being linked here; though the picture is originally copyright, I (CloudNine 11:01, 6 June 2007 (UTC)) feel it is covered by fair use because:

  1. No free equivalent exists that would effectively identify the article's subject.
  2. The image does not in any way limit the ability of the copyright owners to market or sell their product.
  3. The image is only used once and is rendered in low resolution to avoid piracy.
  4. The image is significant in identifying the subject of the article, which is the film itself.
Copyright undetermined This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit.

The copyright for it is most likely owned by the company who created the promotional item or the artist who produced the item in question; you must provide evidence of such ownership. Lack of such evidence is grounds for deletion.

  • where the image is unrepeatable, i.e. a free image could not be created to replace it
