Fritz Herkenrath

Friedrich "Fritz" Herkenrath (born 9 September 1928 in Cologne) is a former football goalkeeper for Germany national football team at the 1958 FIFA World Cup Finals. He earned 21 caps between 1954 and 1958.
He took his club team Rot-Weiss Essen to the peak of its history and won a national championship in 1955. The following season, Rot-Weiss Essen became the first German side to qualify for the European Cup.
