The Fringe-backed Fire-eye or Swainson's Fire-eye (Pyriglena atra) is a species of bird in the Thamnophilidae family. It is endemic to Brazil. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
