From the code:

"81. Except as is provided in Section 2109, whenever there exists between the termini of, and approximately on, any route included in the state highway system a traversable highway, the commission shall adopt the same as the state highway between such termini. The commission may adopt a portion of any such road if it determines that such portion is constructed to adequate standards and if such portion is contiguous to a portion of the state highway system presently being maintained by the department. If more than one such traversable highway exists, the commission shall determine and designate which of such highways shall constitute the state highway. The traversable highways thus selected and adopted shall be state highways in all respects the same as if originally constructed or acquired by the state, subject to all laws applicable to state highways. All acts and actions of the commission and the department with respect to the taking over and maintenance of such highways heretofore taken are hereby approved and ratified." [1]
"2109. State highways shall be maintained, constructed, and improved out of the moneys received in the State Highway Account under Section 2108. Notwithstanding Section 81, the department is not required to maintain any route, or portion of a route, added after January 1, 1947, until it has been laid out and constructed as a state highway." Will the 241 south ever be built? I hear if 2020 if they dont built them the I-5 wll be 3 times worse. I-710 extension to I-210 is unlikely I went on the I-10 from Rosemead to Santa Barbara on August 2007. --Freewayguy (meet) 20:52, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

Reversion on the TPiR article

Why did you revert the last anonymous edit to The Price Is Right (U.S. game show)? The anon didn't do anything incorrect...in fact they didn't remove any tags at all.[3] Declaring an edit as being vandalism because it doesn't have an edit summary is way out of line. Please review WP:AGF. Thanks.

Sorry I thought he was deelting text without purpose. I look at their talk page forst then try to discover their law of habits. I saw one warning on his talk page. He didnt wrtie summary so I couldnt determine if is constructive or vandalism. --Freewayguy (Meet) 22:23, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

All right, everyone makes mistakes. :) When looking at a diff page like this, changes are highlighted in red. In this particular instance, it does look like they removed the sentence starting with Examples of changes made include to Check Game, until you look further and see that they readded it just below that in a new paragraph. I know diffs can be a bit difficult to read; it takes practice. But in the future, if you're not sure whether an edit is vandalism or not, it's better to just leave it (per WP:assume good faith), because if it is actually vandalism, someone else will notice and revert it. Calling a good-faith editor a vandal could offend them and make them leave Wikipedia, which we try to avoid.—Scott5114↗ [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 11:02, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Anaheim Blvd

Well, I have to say that I don't know too much about this one because it's in Orange County. I actually live in LA, I know that area way better. But I've been to Orange County a few times. Maybe you can go comment on the AFD article on it then?

  • I couldnt drive yet. I just like to study LA maps and study and listen to traffic news alot. I'm in 11th gradev and 17 years old. Ive been on the 710 (my dad drove me on it few times) from the 10 to the 5 usually coming home from Mont Park places. The last time Ive been on the 110 is about 4 years ago for my dad friends marriage. Came home on the 210 to the 605 to the 405 instead of the 5 because the 5 is too dense. Normally when I come hoe from Westside of West Coivnalands or East Mont Park my dad drives the 605 to the 405. Ive been on the 57 a few times one year ago to Norhtern West Covina, and Ctrl Orange County, and few times when I was sixth grade.--Freewayguy (Meet) 01:39, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

State/neutral shields

State-name and neutral shields are equally correct under the federal MUTCD, so posting one or the other is never an 'error'. Some states merely have a document that overrides the federal MUTCD, which may specify the state name or may not. (Oklahoma, for instance, has a 'standard drawing' for the Interstate shield, which besides the state name, requires narrower text in the red part of the three-digit shield than the federal MUTCD does.) Lots of states are inconsistent due to different agencies posting signs; this is natural. (Missouri's DOT has a policy of overriding cities' preferred styles for blades on stoplight poles for the streets they maintain, for instance.) Of course, I do not work for a DOT (yet). If you really want to know the answers, I highly advise you call (or email) your favorite departments of transportation and have a chat with someone down there about it; the agencies I've dealt with (MoDOT and KTA) have been friendly and eager to help curious roadgeeks, and you'll have fun and benefit from going straight to the source.—Scott5114↗ [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 06:37, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
