This template is used to mark articles which are believed to be inappropriate locations for non-free media, it is used to generate a list of them for monitoring and automated processing.
The purpose of this template is to curtail the addition of non-free images into the huge number of articles where the inappropriateness of non-free images is utterly uncontroversial.
Never place this template on an article which currently contains non-free images. If non-free images are inappropriate on an article, please remove them through the standard mechanisms before adding this tag. If there is a reasonable dispute over this tag belonging on an article, please leave it off until the dispute is resolved.
If an article was incorrectly marked with this tag remove it when you add a non-free image to the article. Please make sure that the non-free image soundly meets our policy for non-free content. All removals of this template will be human reviewed.
When you remove this tag please mark the article with {{limited non-free media}} and make sure all the non-free media on the page has a {{Non-free allowed in}}. If this is too complicated for you, you are not obligated to perform it, but if the non-free images are removed from the article {{Free-media only}} may be added again in the future by someone unaware of its prior removal.
