Talk:Frederick Barlee
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Is there any information regarding whether Frederick Barlee's name was the origin of the Western Australian expression "barlees" - to mean "hands off" or "excluded". This is common terminology in children's games, e.g. "chasey" and may have had its origins in Barlee's being quarantined on Mistaken Island near Albany in 1865 - Information on Camp Quaranup website
