[edit] Some folklore history deleted

There was a lot of stuff in this article about White's relationship with the various factions involved in the OK Corral shootout of late 1881, which is folk-history and historically cannot be factual. Actually, White died too early to see much of this. White knew Wyatt Earp as the county undersheriff, and never saw Behan with a badge (Behan replaced Earp in that position a few weeks after White's death). If White ever knew Behan, it was in the last couple of months of White's life, and then as a new barkeep in town, and part owner of a local livery stable. I'd also like to know where all the info on White's supposedly great relationship with the Cowboys in general and Brocius in particular, is from. If no citation is coming, I propose to delete it. So far as I know, history is more or less silent on the matter, although we know that White did indeed testify that he thought the Brocius shooting was accidental. That does not mean the two men were friends. SBHarris 03:28, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
