Talk:Fred Turner (musician)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Since the Little River Band is mentioned as the group Fred Turner has last played with on stage, why not provide a link (URL) to the Wikipedia's Little River Band page?
"Simply put, there could never have been a successful BTO without Fred Turner's contributions" ...I think this is from the author's personal comments, a bit too biased of course.
I don't think it's biased at all, it's simply the facts. I respect Randy Bachman and his achievements, but Randy Bachman alone hasn't exactly set the woods on fire. Put him with Burton Cummings or Fred Turner and magic happens. History bears this out.
- While it may be the author's personal comments, Rob Bachman -- BTO's drummer -- backed it up in a "Mark After Dark" interview. "The first Brave Belt albums were very Country Rock. Everything changed when Fred joined the band. We had Fred Turner's heavy, rough voice. Randy is not really a Hard Rock guy. Fred Turner's got the voice. We evolved because of Mr. Turner and I was just grateful that I could find someone who I could smash drums behind." Perhaps putting this tidbit back in the article in the form of a quote would get the point across without the perception of author bias. Howenstein115 18:26, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
