Tip Hightower was the ventilation furnace operator at the Fraterville Coal Mine, Anderson County Tennessee. Tip Hightower was acquitted of negligence. Was his name Tipton Hightower? If so, his nephew James Hightower was killed in the mine explosion. Tip or Tipton would have been 45yo in 1902. Tip or Tipton Hightower had a brother named John Edward Hightower, John Edward's son was the James here. There was a Bart Hightower aswell, not connected to my family at this time, however, the Anderson County Hightower's are related to my line. Can anyont tell me if Tip Hightower is in fact Tipton Hightower? hdsquishy@comcast.net or dbhtower@hotmail.com Thank you Dave Hightower
