Talk:Frank Tanana

[edit] Conversion
Since Tanana graduated from Detroit Catholic Central High School, I had assumed he was raised Catholic. Perhaps it was a "re-conversion"? Or maybe it was a "born-again" experience? I'm curious. --Habap 15:12, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
- I think I remember hearing while Tanana was still playing that he had become what we call a "born-again" Christian, and that's what they're referring to here. I won't change it because I don't know for sure, but I'm almost 100 percent sure that's what it is. On a side note, that 1987 shutout he pitched was one of the most remarkable feats I ever saw, right up there with sore-armed Fernando Valenzuela's 1990 no-hitter. Completely jerked the Blue Jays' chains all day long... Jsc1973 16:49, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
