If Fenner were a rancher, talking about a "rabbit plague" with the meaning used here might make sense. However, it is confusing in an article about a scientist and medical doctor, where it sounds like a disease infecting the rabbit population. Gene Nygaard 12:53, 7 Jan 2005 (UTC) Actually, I'm so confused I'm not sure if "plague" in this article refers to the problem presented by an overpopulation of rabbits, or to the introduced virus used to reduce that problem.
