From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If Francisco Sanches is Portuguese or Spanish, is a very difficult question to answer.
About his origins, the father was Spanish, and the mother Portuguese. The father run way from Spain to Portugal, and later to France.
We know he was baptism in Braga, Portugal.
But the interesting is the way he sign his name during the all life: Franciscus Sanches Bracarensis.
As usual in those times he sign the name in Latin, and finishing with the town were he belongs (born or baptism)
