[edit] Reliability of a source?

Is the Tripod site that is linked to ([1]) have any authority or any standards for reliability? Is the author some sort of noted historian or anything like that? The page doesn't look very professional or authoritative... Wickethewok 05:10, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

I believe the cite you refer to looks like this Links to the Past. Mrs. Francis Dana (Barker) Gage. Retrieved on 2007-10-26. in the ref list (as of this writing). Please correct me if you meant a different site/cite. It seems to be used only to cite a speech text. This text seems to be quite easily found at other locations so perhaps the cite could be replaced with a more scholarly one, without the article actually getting changed in any other way? ++Lar: t/c 11:50, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Ah, yes, you're right. I found a loc.gov source for the quote, so I'll go ahead and replace it. Wickethewok 17:29, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
