Frances Bergen was redirected to Edgar Bergen. With no disrespect to the dead, her sole notability and inclusion relates to being the wife of Edgar Bergen, and the mother of Candice Bergen.HOT L Baltimore 09:32, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

She was also a supporting actress in films, having appeared in Titanic, American Gigolo, and The Morning After, among others. --From Andoria with Love 18:28, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
Since Bergen is also an actress and fashion model (and because no one really deserves to be clumped with someone else), I reverted the page to its previous version and expanded on the information. --From Andoria with Love 18:48, 4 October 2006 (UTC)

I think the page needs to be changed to say she was the MOTHER of candace bergen, not the daughter.

[edit] Legendary?

Do you really think the word "legendary" is appropriate for Edgar Bergen? I must confess I'd never heard of him until I read on Wikipedia about his widow's death. Would "famous" not be more appropriate? Haydn01 12:10, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

Bergen himself was perhaps merely famous, but the duo of Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy were major personalities in the days when everyone listened to the radio. Saxophobia 19:07, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
