I would guess it's cause Canal+ was introduced as the fourth channel in between France 3 and 5?
- Well, there is now.... the lack of a France 1 is the more interesting question, but TF1 would be France 1 if they hadn't sold it off. --Kiand 06:52, 8 January 2006 (UTC)
