How can you be sure this is Frances Work? She was Frances de Batonyi after 1905. DrKiernan (talk) 10:45, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
- I can only find one source [1] suggesting she used Batonyi's name. All the other sources (every single one) refer to her by her maiden name and then by her married name (Frances Burke Roche, not to be confused with Frances, later Mrs Shand-Kydd). So, all the sources are saying she kept using her married name from her first marriage (and the second marriage was very doubtful in legality). She remained popular in society, with reports of her doings being given under that the Burke Roche name (see [2]). Also, the image of "Mrs Burke Roche" in 1910-1915 can't be of her grand-daughter; there is no other "Mrs Burke Roche" I can trace (he didn't remarry); the Bain News Service took pictures of people in the news, news items and society people of the time - a random person named "Mrs Burke Roche" would not have been photographed; the woman in the picture (and here I'm on shaky ground!) is the right age and looks the spitting image of her grand-daughter. So I'm 100% confident this is proved to be her. ➨ REDVEЯS paints a vulgar picture 11:40, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
