Images of Jamal and Muhammad al-Durrah during a reported shooting in Khan Yunis, Gaza Strip; September 30, 2000
Source: [1]
Copyright: France 2.
Rationale, copied from Image:AlDurrah1.jpg:
- 1. It is a historically significant photo of a famous individual. The act depicted has been deemed important by the The Muslim Association of Britain, Palestinian Centre for Human Rights and many other commentators on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
- 2. The original author is France 2 Television (photographer Talal Abu Rahma), but credit is given to the location Wikipedia obtained it - the Palestine Affairs Council
- 3. It is lower resolution than the original video (copies made from it will be of inferior quality).
- 4. It is being used for informational purposes and is necessary to meet the Wikipedia requirements of a "neutral point of view": the neutrality of reports that do not include this image are questionable.
- 5. The photo series and video from which the photos were taken have been very widely reproduced by websites, television stations, newspapers and by other means. Wikipedia's redistribution has no significant additional effect on the market or potential market for the work.
- 6. Its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because it reflects the subject of this article and how the event depicted was historically very significant to the general public.
