Franz Götz is a German toymaker who established the Götz Puppenmanufaktur company in Rödental, Germany in 1950. He is best known for creating a doll company which relied on the individual artistic skills of several artists. He maintained his company for nearly 50 years until it was handed down to his daughter, Anke Götz-Beyer and her husband Uwe Beyer. He still tours the US and Europe, visiting retailers of Götz dolls.
