Frankie Randall (singer)

Frankie Randall (born 1938 in Passaic, New Jersey) is an American singer and actor. His acting credits include The Dean Martin Summer Show and the 1973 film Day of the Wolves.
Frankie also starred in Sonny and Cher's first movie in 1964, entitled "Wild On The Beach". Whereas "Wild On The Beach" was not well-received, "Day Of The Wolves" (starring Richard Egan) is generally respected as a decent dramatic film.
Frankie had a longstanding friendship with Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and other contemporaries, although he was much younger than those "rat pack" identities.
Frankie appeared many times on the Dean Martin TV show, and hosted the summer version of the show when Dean was not available. He was also prominent in the administrative side of the music business in Atlantic City, but eventually gave that up to return to performing.
He released dozens of RCA singles and albums from the 1960s onwards. After starting out in pop music, Frankie, an outstanding piano-player, found his niche in the style of The Great American Songbook, singing those classic melodies of the twentieth century that were made famous by many other Italian-American crooners, and some not-so Italian performers, like Sammy Davis Jr, Steve Allen and Ella Fitzgerald.
These days, Frankie can be heard chatting and playing lots of those great American records on The Music Of Your life, a syndicated radio show that is heard daily across 200 radio stations in the USA and on the internet.
His version of the song "I Can See for Miles" by The Who is included in Rhino Records' album Golden Throats: The Great Celebrity Sing Off (the first of four Golden Throats compilations).
