Franco-Israelism

Franco-Israelism is a neologism referring to the pseudohistorical claim that the Franks, the French and/or their dynasties, such as the Merovingians, were direct lineal descendants of one of the twelve tribes of Israel. It is a variation on British Israelism.[1]
