Francis Prest McHugh is a first class cricketer who played three games for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1949 and 92 matches for Gloucestershire CCC from 1952 to 1956.

A right arm fast medium bowler, he took 276 wickets at just 24.84 with a best of 7 for 32 for Gloucestershire against his native county. He took 5 wickets in an innings 15 times and 10 wickets in a match on 4 occasions.

He had no pretensions as a right handed tail ender though, averaging just 2.63 having scored 179 runs in 111 innings with a top score of 18.

He was born on November 15, 1925 in Burmantofts, Leeds.
