Francis Lagan (Roman Catholic bishop)

Francis Lagan (born 31 October 1934) is the Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Derry. He was born in Maghera, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. He was ordained a priest on 19 June 1960 for his home diocese. On 4 February, 1988 he was appointed auxiliary bishop for the diocese and Titular Bishop of Sidnacestre[1]. He was ordained a bishop on 20 March, of the same year. The Principal Consecrator was Cardinal O'Fiaich; his Principal Co-Consecrators were Archbishop Gaetano Alibrandi, the Apostolic Nuncio to Ireland, and Edward Daly of the Diocese of Derry.
