Francesco Pisano (born 29 April 1986 in Cagliari) is an Italian football (soccer) defender. He currently plays for Cagliari Calcio. Pisano can play as a Left back or Left Wing Back. His impressive performances this season (and ever present for Cagliari in the league) have earned him a call up to the Italy Under-21 in December and has two caps to his name.

Pisano is recognisable for his incredible pace. While at school he competed for Italy not for his football but for his running ability. He featured for the Under 16's and can run 100 metres in under 10.2 seconds. Pisano is a tough tackler and the belief of many is that he could develop into as fine a left back as Paolo Maldini. Comparisons have been made and his link up play and bursting runs down the left side have been a trademark sight this season.

Francesco Pisano was voted second by Cagliari's fans in the Player of the season awards for 2006-7, behind goal machine David Suazo
