Frances Bedingfeld

Frances Bedingfeld (1616 - 1704) was a Mother Superior of the English Institute of Mary. [1]. She came from a recusant family, the Bedingfelds.
She founded Bar Convent in York, which is the oldest surviving Catholic convent in England.[2]
