Talk:Foxboro Hot Tubs
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I've bought the foxboro hot tubs cd and on it it says "Contains all the members of green day." —Preceding unsigned comment added by Seabassucc (talk • contribs) 21:15, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
Tonight I heard a DJ on my radio (station: KEDJ Phoenix 103.9) announced their song with the exact words "a side project of Green Day", so I'd say that should be proof enough at this point, rather than saying "secret side project". Bubacxo 09:21, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
The similarity between "Mother Mary" and Green Day's "Dearly Beloved" should be noted. Besides the similar chord progression, the "ooh"s in the background sound like the same voices on both songs.--75.73.26.15 (talk) 02:53, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Personally, I hear a distinct similarity to Tom Petty in the singing voice for "Mother Mary"... I think it should be added on influences (or comparisons). Also, I haven't heard that particular comparison about any other songs by either Green Day or The Network. So I'm not so sure it's them... Whoever they are, I think they could do well with a cover of "American Girl" or something :) Bubacxo (talk) 10:55, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Is it just me, or does the website display a clock now? Juicebarjoseph (talk) 20:06, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
Doesn't this remind you of American Idiot? It seems Whatsername is replaced with "Mother Mary" and so on. It of course sounds like GD when they go slightly modern on the guitar. It's really good. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.234.201.141 (talk) 23:43, 13 December 2007 (UTC)
The article says that Green Day hasn't used samples since Kerplunk! yet they used a sample in their 2004 American Idiot B-Side "Favorite Son". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.78.15.16 (talk) 19:21, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
It's funny how things work. Just because it might be Green Day, people think it's good and it gets a lot of attention. But if it wasn't, people wouldn't give a rats ass because frankly, the songs are mediocre at best, even for Green Day. Just pathetic how peoples minds work. Some are leaders, but most are just followers.
This page is horribly written and filled with errors, both factual and grammatical. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.96.50.56 (talk) 07:43, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
I agree - someone edit this so it doesn't read like it was written by a twelve year old with learning difficulties —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.84.15.237 (talk) 13:47, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Warner/Chapell Music info
Hi, it was there, but it's since been pulled. Possibly because of this Wiki, but who really knows (i mean if they didn't want anyone to know they're Green Day, why would the take it down?). Doc StrangeTelepathic MessagesStrange Frequencies 01:03, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Name
The name of the band is "Foxboro Hottubs" yet here on wikipedia it is listed as "Foxboro Hot Tubs" 69.125.201.213 (talk) 19:54, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Apparantly "Foxboro Hot Tubs" is the proper band name, but I've now created a redirect from "Foxboro Hottubs", so even if the issue is still vague (which I don't think it is), at least searching either one will get you to this article. - harutake 04:24, 20 May 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Harutake (talk • contribs)
I'm pretty sure its "hot tubs". "Hottubs" isn't a real word and i can't find a source that uses it in the name. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 4.156.153.201 (talk) 00:35, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Why do people keep saying Foxboro Hot Tubs sound like Tom Petty?
Some people are saying that Foxboro Hot Tubs sounds like Tom Petty, and they (Foxboro Hot Tubs) are starting to be compared to him (Tom Petty). Why are they comparing them to each other and saying they sound alike? Billie Joe Armstrong sounds like Billie Joe Armatrong, not Tom Petty, and Tom Petty sounds like Tom Petty, not Billie Joe Armstrong.
If anyone knows why, please click the link below and give me an answer! No one's answered yet! Thank you! http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmurKUx3HJUxKfAg43fjkmXsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080513184226AAkm16b —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.127.253.9 (talk) 00:21, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
