I returned some very good history to the page which had been deleted by an editor with the IP address 64.107.55.2. At the time of deletion, 64.107.55.2 stated in the history notes that deletion was performed due to copyright violation. Given the good quality of the content which was deleted, it's a shame to lose it from the article. I'm asking 64.107.55.2 to provide the reason he/she believes it is a copyright violation. I'm not copyright expert, and certainly can't read the mind of the anon, however they linked http://www.encyclopedia.chicagohistory.org/pages/482.html in the very next edit. The encyclopedia Chicago entry states copyright 2004, so it might be best to delete it as a copyvio. --Dual Freq 22:17, 27 January 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I see it now that it's a word-for-word copy of the encyclopedia of Chicago history. Yes, it should go. Too bad. VandalKicker2 02:16, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
There's no rule against substantially rewriting the section and referencing that as the source. Copy and paste or changing a couple words isn't enough though. --Dual Freq 03:22, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
