[edit] Summary
Two FoxTrot cartoons that involve chalkboard gags, from October 3, 2003 and November 3, 2005.
[edit] Fair use for chalkboard gag
These two images are being linked here; though the picture is subject to copyright, I believe it is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:
- It does not limit the copyright owner's rights to exploit the comic strips in any way.
- It illustrates how the chalkboard gags on The Simpsons have entered popular culture outside of the show's universe. Note: "chalkboard gags" existed long before The Simpsons ever appeared.
- Since chalkboard gags are generally referenced within other copyrighted media, it is very unlikely that a free image illustrating this concept can readily be found. — Dale Arnett 20:23, 21 June 2007 (UTC) (BTW, I'm not the uploader.)
