Fosdinovo is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Massa-Carrara in the Italian region Tuscany, located about 110 km northwest of Florence and about 15 km northwest of Massa. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 4,609 and an area of 48.7 km².[1] Very important the |Medieval Festival of Fosdinovo (July).
The municipality of Fosdinovo contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Caniparola, Tendola, Giucano, Canepari, Marciaso, Posterla, and Carignano.
Fosdinovo borders the following municipalities: Aulla, Carrara, Castelnuovo Magra, Fivizzano, Ortonovo, Sarzana.
