Talk:Forum game

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This stuff is rather borderline for inclusion in the article. We shouldn't put in too many examples.

A fun game with a clear winner is Monarch of the Mountain. In this game the first poster sits on a mountain and the next poster has to "push" him/her off in a creative way and then the new monarch waites to get pushed off. The cycle continues for about 60 posts or a designated end time (with no double posting and various other rules depending on the forum) and then the last one is declared a winner. Multiple rounds can be played (with the old winner posting the new thread).
A new game emerging is Werewolf, played with 10-20 players and a Game Moderator. It starts off with a group of people, forced to live together by some event. However, 2 of them among them are werewolves, and at night, must deliberate amongst themselves and decide who to kill, then the next morning the group find that person dead, and they're out of the game. During the daytime, everyone must collectively vote unto who to kill off. The non-wolves have a seer, who at night, decides who to have a vision about. The GM then informs the Seer if that person is a Human, or a Wolf. The game ends when either all of the wolves, or all of the humans have gone.

Another note: PM games aren't really forum games, as they don't take advantage of forum discussion features. æle  2006-06-07t22:45z

[edit] Merge from forum games

... since we usually name articles with the singular. I've trimmed a lot of stuff that was too specific, since not all forum games are played in the manner that was described. æ² 2006-06-19t01:40z
