Talk:Forro language

[edit] (Not)understood syntax
In Those mixed-raced that did not have the status of Portuguese, darker skin, often gained a "forro" declaration; because their Portuguese fathers did not want to enslave their children., the relationship of darker skin is unclear. It could mean:
- or darker skin
- because of darker skin
- something else?
If it is worth mentioning, it is probably worth getting right. Unfortunately or and because of seem antithetical in this context. O'RyanW (☺ ₪) 22:20, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
