[edit] Foreign Object Matches
I was thinking, maybe it would be better to move the gimmick matches over to List of professional wrestling match types and link to them with short discriptions. List of professional wrestling match types and Professional wrestling tag team match types already list several matches like the ones listed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by VladamireSteelwolf (talk • contribs) 05:29, 7 February 2007 (UTC).
[edit] Merge from Use Of Thumbtacks In Professional Wrestling
Please merge any relevant content from Use Of Thumbtacks In Professional Wrestling per Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Use Of Thumbtacks In Professional Wrestling. Thanks. —Quarl (talk) 2007-02-11 05:53Z
- I've merged the info from the above article. To the editors of the existing info on this page: it goes withotu saying that you are free to heavily edit the new material to fit in better with the rest of the page. (Just thought I would state the obvious so no toes are being tromped on.) John Dalton 03:34, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

- Grateful if people could discuss the Thumbtacks section here rather than simply removing it. As noted above, this has been merged into this article as a move away from having an article of its own, so any further removal should really be discussed seriously here before taking drastic action. It might be that it is felt that the Hardcore wrestling article would be a better place for it, but I think this needs discussion before we simply delete the whole section. For more background on the decision to merge Thunmbtacks here, please see the link in Quarl's message above. Cheers. --Dave. 12:28, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WCW and "international objects"
From what I understand, Ted Turner, a strong believer in internationalism (Goodwill Games, United Nations, etc.), banned the use of the word "foreign" from all his TV networks. Although the order was intended mainly to affect the political coverage on CNN and its sister networks, WCW, which aired on TBS and TNT, was also affected, with its announcers ordered to use the term "illegal object" instead of "foreign object" (and not, as the article states, "international object"). However, to protest what they saw as silly Political Correctness, the announcers, for a time, subverted this order by referring to the objects in question as "international objects". Has anyone else heard this? LeoO3 20:34, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
