'He was not allowed membership because of his foreign birth.'??? Where did that come from? He was invited to join, but turned it down. Certainly, Hunt was never happy about the prospect of Brown's membership, as he considered his art too eccentic. But it was Brown who did not want to join a group. Anyway, I'm changing this.
