Does some one know what the "2,063.21M" means? And how can I find out what number my computer would show if I formated it? And what text would appear when finish? Is it the same look like formatting a diskette? Is there a defferense in win 3.1, 95, 98 or XP? Unsigned comment by User:85.167.136.47. Mkmk101 (talk) 13:10, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

"2,063.21M" probably means 2 063.21 MB and automatically it is 2 GB. M here means MegaByte.

2. Your computer probably will display on your screen several informations about HDD and info about partition\disk size. Also remember that of course

  • 1 KB (Kilobyte) = 1024 B (Bytes)
  • 1 MB (Megabyte) = 1024 KB
  • 1 GB (Gigabyte) = 1024 MB etc.

Is it the same look like formatting a diskette?

3. Yes, it is the same as formatting a diskette, but Hard Disk has larger space than Floppy and differences in some sections, in example of cluster size or allocation tables.

Is there a defferense in win 3.1, 95, 98 or XP?

In formatting no, but every version of Microsoft Windows in another method display final log.
