National Park Service archaeological map as part of a boathouse project along the George Washington Memorial Parkway next to the Potomac River. The red shading indicates the possibility of artifacts at the site of Fort Jackson, a 19th-century fort constructed as part of the defenses of Washington, D.C. during the American Civil War.
