English: Aerial view of Fort Gibson Reservoir on the Grand River (known as the Neosho River farther upstream) in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. The lake is located in Cherokee and Wagoner Counties and forms part of the border between the two counties. The lake is located approximately 48 miles (78 km) southeast of the city of Tulsa. This photograph shows a part of Sequoyah State Park on the reservoir. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers constructed the dam for flood control and water supply. Note that the source photograph on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website has mislabelled this photograph as Lake Eufaula.
