"Forever" was the first single released from Kid Rock's 2001 album Cocky. The song mixes hip hop vocals with funk metal guitars and heavy drums. It was a last minute addition to Cocky when Kid Rock and Al Sutton were finishing the mixing process of the album. The video was shot at a live concert at the Michigan State Fairgrounds and edited into a music video. It was only 37 degrees Fahrenheit outside during the concert. The song peaked at #18 on Mainstream Rock charts and #21 on the Modern Rock Charts. It reached #37 in Australia, #52 in Germany and #75 in Sweden.
