The line of Ford full-size automobiles starts from the Ford Model T to the current Crown Victoria and Ford Five Hundred. American automobiles were sometimes identified only by make and year, such as 1952 Ford before being given names. The term "full-size" came in use after the introduction of compact cars and mid-size or intermediate size classes in the 1960s. A line of cars defined as the Model T and its direct rear-wheel drive descendents up to the Ford Crown Victoria would probably be the largest selling car line in history.
